Behavioral and training interventions are well-established treatments for ADHD. However, limitations include lack of accessibility, generalization and consistent effects across the academic, social, and behavioral difficulties commonly associated with ADHD. Over the past 20 years, Linda Pfiffner’s research team has attempted to address these gaps through the development of school-home interventions. These programs were originally developed in clinic settings and later adapted for use in schools by school-based mental health providers. They provide skill training for students while also training teachers and parents to implement specific strategies to promote the student’s success at both school and home. Crucially, all components are integrated to support improvement at school, at home, and with peers. This presentation will describe the intervention and training methods for school clinicians as well as key outcomes and considerations for future dissemination. Presented by Linda Pfiffner, Ph.D., from the University of California, San Francisco
