The township falls under the jurisdiction of Luveve and was named after King Mzilikazi’s first Chief and Chief of Chiefs under the Mthwakazi State, Gwabalanda Mathe. In this documentary, historian Mzala Tom gives us an overview of who Gwabalanda Mathe was, and we meet up with two Chefs who reside in the area and they give us a guide on the demarcation and food culture of the area. Also, an elder by the name of Mrs Mpofu tells us about life growing up in this incredible place. We also get to tour notable ‘bus stops’ such as Emastepsini, Ku-Sixty, Estubhini (from the Afrikaans word Stoep), Fifa, the famous Dollarhouse and Steelhouse, Amakhosi, Fusi, ema-Five and emaChurch turn. In the kitchen, we visit a cook who is located KoMaplanka for a delicious meal. ______________________________________ WATCH OUR MOST POPULAR VIDEOS: ► ► AmaXhosa AseZimbabwe: A Unique Cultural Experience    • AmaXhosa AseZimbabwe: A Unique Cultur...   ► ► Getting Cultured in Nkayi, KoSivalo!    • Getting Cultured in Nkayi, KoSivalo!   ► ► 49 Hours in Makokoba, Bulawayo!    • 49 Hours in Makokoba, Bulawayo!   ► ► Why Is African Food The Least Adopted Cuisine?    • Why is African Food the Least Adopted...   ______________________________________ ► ► ABOUT MAGRIZA MADE ME COOK The channel seeks to document and serve Africa's diverse food culture, one dish at a time as well as air other cultural and traditional stories that have never been documented.
