Join us as we go ashore for the day and explore Messina, on a Hop on-Hop off bus tour, getting off to explore Piazza Duomo square and take in the amazing Astronomical Clock animated display at noon, and the Cathedral. As it was "Assumption Day" in Sicily, a public holiday, watch the end of the video for the amazing fireworks display from San Salvatore Fort as we ready for sail away. The Captain of Riviera delayed departure for 1 hour to take in the celebration. Great decision! Good on you Messina.
