Entropia Universe: You Can Now Go Fishing On Next Island? How Fishing Works In Entropia Universe!

That's right you can now go fishing in Entropia Universe! But How does fishing in Entropia Universe work? First we want to head over to Next Island's Carnival Island. We will use the flowerport to go to Crystal Lake and then we select the "fishing" flowerport. Now we're at the new pond where we can do some fishing! We see there is a terminal for anglers near the spartan ship but we want to go over to the tents with the NPC's. Inside the tent we find an NPC that will give us the blueprint to make a fishing rod in exchange for 7 Golden tickets. The materials needed to make the fishing rod are expensive so you may decide to simply purchase a fishing rod from the in game auction. If you decide to craft your own fishing rod remember that this item does NOT decay when equipped or when used to there is no need to repair it, use residue or make it full TT. Since it's and unlimited item anyway whatever the crafting terminal spits out will do just fine. Next we want to get the daily fishing mission from the other NPC in the tent. This mission requires us to catch 50 fish in exchange for a small skill reward. The third NPC will let us exchange the fish we catch for blueprints, skills or even limited time buffs! Be careful because many of the buffs stop working if you die! Fishing Rod in hand we are ready to try and catch some fish! First go to your tools in your inventory and equip the fishing rod. BE SURE TO KEEP THE FISHING ROD EQUIPPED AT ALL TIMES! There is a second anglers terminal just outside the tent area. Interacting with this terminal we can hand in one Bronze ticket in exchange for a fishing mission. When the mission activates it will say "head to the shoreline". It doesn't matter where on the shore you stand. When you are close enough the mission will change to "fishing in progress". Simply stand there and wait. It doesn't look like anything's happening but it is! After a few minutes you will see a message flash across your screen and you will loot either a piece of clothing someone threw into the lake or you will loot a fish! At this point the mission will disappear and you will need to return to the anglers terminal and hand in another Bronze Ticket if you want another fishing attempt. It's that easy! The Ni Development team has told me that the game engine currently limits the types or animations and interactions that could be used to make this a much more in depth process. There is a possibility that in the future we may actually need to cast the line or fight to get the fish reeled in; but for now it's just as simple as standing on the lakeshore with your fishing rod in your hand!
