Last week, my biggest surprise was how amazing the 2018 RAM 1500 Laramie Longhorn was, but this week, we're back to the same surprise - just a different car. The 2018 Honda Accord Touring 2.0L Turbo has absolutely blown me away with the time that I was able to spend with it. I'm very much so impressed with almost every part of it, aside from the exterior design. The 2018 Accord just looks kind of ugly, and while there are some angles where it looks like the Audi A7, which Honda informed me it was designed after, you really have to have a few ounces of hard liquor in your before that becomes apparent. The 2018 Accord is far from the ugliest car ever built by Honda - the Insight and Clarity, for example. However, the 2018 Accord Touring was a huge letdown compared to the last generation Accord. While the Accord may have been a bit dull with the outgoing model, it was still at least a good looking option compared to the other cars in it's class. Now, though, the Accord looks awkward compared to it's closest competitor - the 2018 Toyota Camry. Interior The interior is where everything begins to change. I'll start by saying this; when you're inside the Accord and behind the wheel, you forget all about the fact that you're driving what's quite possibly one of the ugliest new cars on the market. One of my favorite parts about the 2018 Honda Accord Touring is the push-button gear selector. It takes inspiration from the Aston Martin lineup, and I have to say it's absolutely amazing! I've never been so impressed by a gear selector since Jaguar Land Rover introduced their knob in 2012. This takes it to another level, though, as you feel like you're operating a space ship, and the exterior kind of looks like something George Jetson would drive, so it makes sense. Overall, I'd give the interior of the 2018 Honda Accord Touring a solid 9 out of 10. I'm really impressed with the overall quality of the vehicle, but there are some points where Honda can improve on the 2018 Honda Accord Touring. For example, the "wood" is possibly the cheapest feeling plastic I've ever seen in a car, but that was the only disappointing part of the interior. Aside from that, it was great! Favorite Features The 2018 Honda Accord Touring 2.0L Turbo is packed with all sorts of technology, but my favorite feature overall is the smooth 2.0L turbo engine straight from the 2018 Honda Civic Type-R. The engine was smooth, silky, responsive, and a pure pleasure to drive. I was blown away with the horsepower and responsiveness of the engine. Along with that engine in the 2018 Honda Accord Touring, I was also blown away with all of the driver aids throughout the car. Cameras, sensors, sleepiness sensors, and just about everything else you could imagine. It's technology straight out of the S-Class, and I'm blown away by it!
