Love, love, love, LOVE this song. This song fills me with so much determination even without context to the screens this song is associated with in-game, but it’s also got some somber undertones especially in the more empty, calm sections where I sort of just get lost in my own thoughts of reflection...and then the grooves come back in. Lena is such a fantastic composer and I look forward to listening to more of her work either in another game OST or her own, solo projects. This will probably be the last cover I do of any of Celeste’s songs for the foreseeable future unless I plan on going back one day and doing a full drum cover of the Farewell OST or even maybe some of the B-Side remixes. In saying that though, if Lena releases some more catchy tunes with those groovy drums, you can probably expect to see it here. This is also the first drum cover I’ve done with an eight-microphone setup and I’m really pleased with how it has turned out although, getting it all to sound this good would not have been possible without my dear friend, Joey of Liefy Green Studios. Joey mixed all the drums and he is responsible for how good it all sounds and I couldn't be happier and more thankful for his work on this.
