Watar Hassas (The Sensitive Chord) is an online platform showcasing independent Arab artists through a series of interviews that reflects their views on how the latest changes in the region influence their daily lives and most importantly the impact it has on their Art. Our belief in Watar Hassas is that we are all to be acknowledged as humans having a shared cultural memory/identity and traditions and morals before we are recognized for our music or art form. And despite our apparent differences we are bound to each other by geographical boundaries and a common language which can be at times our mother tongue and at times our music and artistic expressions. However, we are no longer alone or isolated by personal choice, device or coercive powers since the world wide web virtual space became a reality that brought upon us a change that was never dreamt of just years ago. We now have the tools to share, debate and express our views regardless of how radical or conforming they are. This newfound power enabled us to cross borders that were impenetrable and explore possibilities in a space that is hospitable to all regardless of color, nationality, religion or political orientations. Watar Hassas is an open non-formal platform that allows Arab artist to express their stories, opinions and thoughts about the state of things each in their respective country in relation to the socio-political turmoil the Arab World is experiencing currently. Hence the name: Watar Hassas (Sensitive Chord). About Muhammad Abdallah: Muhammad holds a temporary Jordanian passport... He was born in KSA and did not recognize what it is to hold a temporary passport or to be stigmatized as "refugee" while waiting in embassies of the world for travel permits until he reached university and worked in Music. When he was working in Tarweej Musical Project, he was not aware that this experience would lead him and his relative Tarek Abu Kweik to create a band called "Al Morabba3 (the square)" in 2009 as they were both seeking a different musical genre until they met the brothers Oday and Darrar Shawaqfeh thus the creative angles of the square were complete. Mourabbaa is the "window whereby one can see issues".
