We do have a small wall propane heater that we use to keep the cabin at a steady temp & to keep it from freezing when we're away for extended periods of time. It's a lot of work, but there's nothing like wood heat. The warmth, the smell...the ambience & coziness that it provides. I wouldn't want it any other way.
