In this video I demonstrate how to remove and reinstall the thermostat in an LF-VE engine, that is commonly installed in the BL Mazda 3 (2009 to 2013). One thing I should have mentioned in the video is that replacing the thermostat requires you breach the coolant circuit, so unless you catch the coolant as it pours out, you are going to lose some coolant, which will need replacing. If your coolant is a bit old, then use the opportunity to change the coolant at the same time as you change the thermostat. Cameraman: Jack Gaske.
