Brussels, Belgium vlog| Amsterdam, Netherlands day trip vlog| My EU Diaries ✈️

#belgium #amsterdam #europe #travelvlog #brussels Hello there! Welcome to the last series of my Europe travel vlog :) The next stop is Belgium. Begin with a visit to the Grand-Place in Brussels, Belgium: a Unesco world heritage site and one of the largest and prettiest squares in Europe. The baroque guild houses that line the square are testament to the artisans and creators that grew the economy in the late medieval period. On the other, the new-gothic Maison du Roi — a building that houses the city museum. Follow the tourist crowds a short walk from the main square and you’ll come to the Manneken Pis. The little bronze figure is frequently dressed in one of 1,000 different outfits, a tradition that apparently started as far back as the 18th century — make time to see the others in the nearby GardeRobe MannekenPis museum. You won’t be able to escape Belgian chocolates; there’s a chocolate shop on almost every corner of this city. Try the exquisite creations of Brussels chocolatier Lauren Gerbaud, who has a shop directly opposite Bozart. Last destination is: Amsterdam is one of Europe’s top short-break destinations. It’s a compact, instantly likeable city, that’s appealing to look at and pleasant to walk around. An intriguing mix of the parochial and the international, it has a welcoming attitude towards visitors and a uniquely youthful orientation, shaped by the liberal counter-culture that took hold in the 1960s. No one could say the Amsterdam tourist industry doesn’t make the most of its canals, with a veritable armada of glass-topped cruise boats shuttling along the city’s waterways, offering everything from quick hour-long excursions to fully-fledged dinner cruises. There are several major operators and they occupy the prime pitches, either the jetties near Centraal Station on Stationsplein or beside the first part of the Damrak. You’ve reached our last destination and I am beyond grateful that you came a long! Thank you for watching and see you on the next vlog :) Take Care!
