Refugee Mental Health - Time to Talk | West Sussex Mind

For Time to Talk day this year our West Sussex Mind Community and Inclusion team wants to share some of their knowledge about refugees and their mental health needs, gained as a result of working with different refugee communities in West Sussex both independently and in partnership with Sanctuary Chichester. We want to reduce stigma around refugees and their mental health, raise awareness, provide some food for thought for further honest conversations. All three of us have our own experience of either being refugees ourselves or coming from a family that moved to the UK from another country, so there are a few personal insights as well as professional points of view. We also saw this conversation as a chance to just talk about something that touches our hearts so deeply.
