Dragonfly eating a fly - Resin casting gone wrong!

This was my most ambitious casting yet....and what a casting it would have turned out to be! I had found a dragonfly, dead after it was trapped overnight under the lights and a bluebottle fly from the park. I wanted to cast it in such a way that it would look like the dragonfly had caught the fly and was eating it. I positioned both the insects by pinning them in place and drying them. I then stuck them together with a bit of resin. Everything appeared to be going great and I poured the final batch of resin to cover the insects. Other than the resin not completely covering it, it looked perfect and clear. I was really looking forward to seeing this. I left it overnight to harden and woke up next morning excited....Look what happened!
