#koftacurryrecipe #meatballsrecipe #spicefeastrecipes Kofta curry recipe | Meatball curry recipe | Mutton Kofta Curry Recipe | Mutton Meatballs | Mutton Meatball Curry Mutton Kofta Curry | Mutton Meatballs in Gravy | Mutton Kofta Gravy Recipe | Mutton Kofta Recipe Mutton Meatball Recipe | Kofta curry | beef kofta recipe Ingredients: (Tsp - teaspoon; Tbsp - tablespoon) For Kofta: 700 grams lamb/beef mince 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp crushed red chilli pepper 1 tbsp coriander powder 1 tsp cumin powder 1/2 tsp garam masala powder 1/2 tsp crushed black pepper powder 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1 whole egg 2 tbsp chickpea powder 1 tbsp chopped chilli 1/2 cup fried onion Handful of coriander leaves For Curry: 1/3 cup oil 2 medium onions (paste) 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1 cup tomato puree 1 tbsp chilli powder 1 tbsp salt 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp coriander powder 1 tsp cumin powder 1/3 cup water 1 cup whisked yoghurt 1/2 litre hot water Chopped chilli and coriander leaves for garnish Method: Preparing the Kofta: In a large bowl, combine 700 grams of lamb/beef mince with 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp crushed red chilli pepper, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala powder, 1/2 tsp crushed black pepper powder, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 whole egg, 2 tbsp chickpea powder, 1 tbsp chopped chilli, 1/2 cup fried onion, and a handful of coriander leaves. Blend the mixture thoroughly until well combined. Shape the mixture into 12 round koftas. Heat a pan and fry the koftas for 2 minutes until they are lightly browned. Remove and set aside. Preparing the Curry: Heat 1/3 cup oil in a pan over medium heat. Add 2 medium onion paste and fry for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown. Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and fry for 1 minute. Stir in 1 cup tomato puree and cook for 3-5 minutes on medium heat until the oil separates. Add the spices: 1 tbsp chilli powder, 1 tbsp salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, and 1 tsp cumin powder. Cook for 2 minutes. Pour in 1/3 cup water and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add 1 cup whisked yoghurt, mixing well, and cook for 3 minutes on medium heat. Add the fried koftas to the curry, mix gently, and cook for 3-5 minutes on high heat. Pour in 1/2 litre hot water, cover, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes. Uncover and garnish with chopped chilli and coriander leaves.
