Learning how to hit a pickleball one-handed backhand stroke with correct technique is much easier when you break it down into smaller steps. This allows you to learn each chunk of the one-handed backhand technique much better and as you finally connect them all together your backhand will flow much smoother. Here's a brief overview of the whole process of the one-handed backhand pickleball drive. 1. The Grip - we'll use a very simple method for finding the right grip. 2. The Unit Turn - the unit turn will help you get into the right position before you even start moving your feet. 3. The Backswing - there is not much of a backswing in the one-handed backhand, but coiling the body is key. 4. The Uncoiling - this is where many players lose out on power so make sure you get this one right. 5. The Contact - we'll look at optimal contact and the role of the wrist. 6. The Follow-Through - specific key points of the follow-through will be covered.
