My Bible Study Routine for 2024

Bible study is an important part of the life of someone who wants to know God better. This video is my simple Bible study routine that has helped me to stay grounded in my doctrine, grow in my relationship with God, and be a better Christian. My plan is simple and starts with Bible reading. Bible reading is an important part of the process of Bible study. It is through my Bible reading that I get Spirit-guided inspiration for what to study further. Bible translations are a helpful tool for better understanding Scripture, and I use a variety. My main translations are the King James Version, The New King James Version, the English Standard Version, and the New Living Translation. My Bible reading plan currently is called "The Knockout Method" which I learned from an Evangelist in this podcast episode:    • "All Things Bible Study" | Tselot Kif...   The next step in my process is to capture the word or text that stood out while reading. I use a small moleskin notebook that I always have with me for capturing inspiration from the Word. Then, I go to a blank Google doc, transfer the inspiration from the notebook into the doc, and start looking up original text definitions and reading in other translations. I will copy and paste everything into this document. Mostly scriptures. I read commentaries some, I prefer cultural background commentaries first, but my study notes consist mostly of related scriptures and Greek or Hebrew definitions. That's it essentially.
