With a few crystals, or beads and some wire you can have your own unique accessories that are tailored to your personality. To calculate the correct amount of wire required, after you wrap the wire around the round form you are using, add 1/2 inch overlap on each side, the overlap of the wire is used to make the loop and the bent earwire part. For the earrings in the tutorial I used 2, 10mmx 10 top drilled faceted chalcedony briolettes, 10 inches of 16 gauge gold plated wire, and 12 inches 24 gauge gold plated copper wire. 18-20 gauge wire is usually the sweet spot but since I only had 16 gauge wire I used it and it does fit my piercings.The finished earrings measure just under and 1.5 inch from top to the bottom of the hoop.
