Talen Energy developed and built the industry’s first, direct-connected nuclear powered data center campus. This direct connection to the 2.5-gigawatt Susquehanna power stations helps solve the energy 'trilemma' which Talen defines as the rapidly increasing consumer demand for zero-carbon, low-cost, and reliable electricity by data center customers. The 1,200+ acre campus consists of robust and redundant fiber networks as well as four electrical substations with up to 960 MW potential redundant capacity including 200 MW currently associated with the operating Nautilus cryptocurrency facility. Through a transformative transaction, this Data Center Campus was sold to Amazon Web Services for further development.
