Ronde van Vlaanderen 2022 - Tour des Flandres 2022 - Route / Parcours / Animation / Profile

At the Tour of Flanders, the riders have 272.5 kilometres and eighteen climbs ahead of them, some of them with cobblestone surfaces. As usual, the Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg are the last obstacles, then it's about 13 kilometres flat to the finish. The first cobblestone sections appear after more than 100 kilometres: the Lippenhovestraat and then the Paddestraat. About 30 kilometres later, the Oude Kwaremont is the first climb of the day. The riders have covered exactly half the distance. After the Oude Kwaremont, the obstacles follow each other in rapid succession. Every 10 kilometres there is at least one climb. The Kortekeer and the Achterberg lead to the cobbles of the Holleweg, and almost immediately after that the Wolvenberg awaits. Then it's back to the (cobblestone) work on the Kerkgate and the Jagerij. The climbing combination on the Molenberg, Marlboroughstraat, Berendries and Valkenberg is tackled over the next 15 kilometres. Via Berg Ten Houte and Kanarieberg they head for the start of the finale. 55 kilometres before the finish, the duo Oude Kwaremont/Paterberg will face them for the first time. At full trot they continue to the Koppenberg, the Mariaborrestraat, the Steenbeekdries, the Stationsberg, the Taaienberg and the Kruisberg/Hotond, a series of obstacles in less than 20 kilometres. Barely 10 kilometres after the Kruisberg/Hotond, the riders start for the last time on the Oude Kwaremont. The summit is 16.7 kilometres from the finish and the only obstacle until there is the Paterberg. This climb may be short (360 metres), but the average gradient (12.9%) and the steepest section (20.3%) make it a perfect place to shake off the competition.
