Since its foundation, the band has been invited to take part in dozens of public and private events, besides a number of participations in local TV programs. The outbreak of the pandemic at the beginning of 2020 caused bands and artists to cease most of their professional activities due to worldwide measures to stop the COVID-19 spread. In the case of Green Line Band, performances were restricted to a minimum of on-line live appearances, such a period of forced confinement leading to the rethinking and reinvention of the band. Therefore, the band’s previous incursions into the acoustic format, with exclusive repertoire arrangements resulting in the recording of the Acoustic Rock 70’ to 90 DVD presented to the public from 2018 to 2020, have been revisited under a new perspective. Backed by such an experience, Green Line Band is now back to the musical scene with a bold acoustic instrumental project composed of a quartet of classical chords, drums, guitar and piano to present soundtracks of world-acclaimed blockbuster films and games. Called Movies and Games, the project was approved and classified as the best in its category under the Aldir Blanc Cultural Incentive Federal Law in 2021, and it consists of the reinterpretation of seven works composed of innovative arrangements, with simultaneous recording of audio and video, performed by talented musicians. Made in several places in the cities of Belo Horizonte and Lagoa Santa, Brazil, all the recordings are now ready to be officially premiered as of December 17 on the band’s YouTube channel (please click on the link below). The first of those pieces will be a collection of nine other pieces originally produced for the soundtrack of one of the most renowned contemporary games. The second will be released on December 27, 2021; the third on January 17, 2022, and the remaining ones on 17 February.
