Are 5G Phones A Waste of Money?

5G is the next generation of internet like LTE, 4G, 3G, and 2G. But better. The only catch is that you need a 5G phone to access and use 5G networks... so the question is, are 5G phones worth the cost?? And if they are, what 5G phones are available? https://www.whistleout.com/CellPhones... How do you access 5G How do you access 5G? Well you need to have a plan that allows you to connect to it, AND you also need to have a 5G capable phone. Because most of the carriers are offering free 5G access with most of their unlimited postpaid plans, that’s not really a problem. The main problem is buying a 5G phone… they’re expensive, and are they even worth it right now?? NO. I don’t think it’s worth it right now and this video will explain why. Let’s take a look at the 5G phones available right now… https://www.whistleout.com/CellPhones... Where is 5G? So where is 5G? Well, the three main networks have all started rolling it out in select cities and states and chances are you live in a state with *some 5G coverage. AT&T 5G could be for you in these 5 states! New Jersey 67.14% is covered with 5G Delaware 51.499% Ohio 41.305% Rhode Island 39.25% Maryland 33.99% Verizon Verizon has so little 5G we’re not highlighting states with the most coverage, we’re looking at cities with the most coverage. Boston MA WASHINGTON DC MINNEAPOLIS MN DENVER CO SALT LAKE CITY UT T-Mobile New Jersey 74% Minnesota 63.6% Oklahoma 63.3% Indianapolis 61.9% Louisiana 59.4% Which carrier has the most 5G? Right now T-Mobile has the most 5G with 30% coverage in the united states followed by AT&T with 6% coverage then here’s a shocker US Celluar has .4% 5G coverage and Verizon is coming in last right now with .0014% coverage. SO if you want to use 5G right now, T-Mobile or AT&T is your best bet. If you want to learn more about the plans that offer 5G i’m linking those in the description. Conclusion To recap… 5G is available but ONLY in select cities. So to the average person I say you don’t need to invest in a 5G phone UNLESS the 5G phone has cool features you like. You shouldn’t buy a new phone strictly because it has 5G… at least yet. Although i will say that if you live in a city where 5G is accessible, it might be fun to have a 5G capable phone! But remember most 5G is only available outside since most 5G frequencies can’t penetrate buildings… 5G PREDICTIONS As phones continue to grow with technology, it makes sense that manufacturers would add in 5G…. So although you don’t need 5G yet these high-end phones are also coming with the best cameras, screens, and battery life we’ve ever seen. Although year old flagship phones are still VERY relevant and amazing devices and if you go with them you’re saving money and getting a great quality device. So bottom line… don’t buy a 5G phone strictly because it’s 5G. Buy it for the camera, the battery life, and other features you care about.
