Hunting for Cast Iron at Brimfield: September 6, 2024

As a resident of central Massachusetts until 2022, I'd been lucky enough to live near the world famous Brimfield Antique Show. My first trip to Brimfield was in 2013, and I've been to this outstanding outdoor flea market many times in the past decade. Quite a few of the pieces in my cast iron collection, and utensils in my kitchen, were found at Brimfield. In 2022 I moved to New York, and it would have taken a much greater effort to visit Brimfield. But I still missed the show, and in September of 2024 I made the five-hour pilgrimage and visited Brimfield once again.
