Sipadan, Malaysia - Scuba Junkie Sipadan

We ended our Jungle adventure through Sabah in the city of Semporna. From there, we joined with Scuba Junkie Sipadan to dive the world-famous island. Scuba Junkie organized the boat transfer to Mabul Island, where we stayed at the Scuba Junkie Mabul Beach Resort. We immediately boarded the dive boat in Mabul, and did local dives for the first day. The second, third and fourth day, we took a boat to travel to the small island of Sipadan where we did two dives, followed by lunch on the island. We returned to Mabul for the third dive of the day. I was a bit concerned whether Sipadan was still a world-renowned dive destination. According to Scaba Junkie, "The triangle between Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines is one of the most bio-diverse marine habitats in the world. Strong ocean currents, deep sea trenches and sea mounts, combined with active volcanic islands have created a complex oceanographic environment that is paradise for divers. The beauty of this region lies in it's diversity". I can honestly say that Sipadan met my expectations, with large schools of Bumphead Parrot Fish, Barracudas and Jacks, sharks and very many large green turtles on every dive. The coral reefs are very healthy with plentiful fish life. This was all just from our first dive in Sipadan. We dove a total of 6 dives in Sipadan, with most dives being exceptional, but some sites being just average. A couple of dives we encountered poor visibility and not as much fish life, but that's how it goes sometimes. My recommendation is to dive Sipdan for as many days as your budget allows, just in case you hit a day with poor visibility or bad weather. Our 🧭 compass points East as we make our way to Indonesia for more diving on the islands Bunkaden, Lembeh and Komodo. #AlwaysAnAdventure #LoveLovingYou #ZachMan #MissingYouSoMuch #ThisIsLife #BeKind #Repurposed #ExperiencesNotStuff #NoMistakesOnlyLessons #coddiwomple #hodophile #TravelerLife #nomads #RovingRetirement #SlowTravel #ForeverOnVacation #Malaysia #ScubaJunkie #ScubaJunkieSipadan #Sipadan
