Jimmy Page's birthday show at Royal Albert Hall - January 9 1970 is legendary and and it is one of the rare early shows to be documented on film with multi-track sound. It is treasure trove of live Bonzo, who was playing at his highest level throughout this concert. I decided to tackle this version of How Many More Times because its so magnificent with its medley of blues numbers and because it was a challenge to try to nail down. Then again, that's true of pretty much the whole concert. I split the video into separate segments so the viewer won't have to wait or skip through the drum-less passages. The most challenging parts of this to play are the bolero beat where he plays crashes in between the double handed triplets, and the build up of those triplets to the break before " Oh Rosy baby" . Also, the quick boogie shuffle he plays with both hands is a little difficult to maintain too. There are a few parts that aren't note for note identical but all in all , its very close. I even tried to do the seat adjustment at 2:20 where Bonzo does it! Hope you enjoy it!
