The Adirondacks also have their own set of rules regarding drone use. You are not allowed to launch and operate a drone from within the High Peaks Wilderness... which borders the eastern edge of our route along the Raquette River. My shots were taken outside the no-fly boundary and the drone kept within my line of sight. Outside of the technical rules... and as a basic human courtesy... I also take special care to make sure I am not interrupting anyone's camping or nature experience. If people are around in these peaceful places... the drone stays grounded.
