Offering Buy X Get Y discounts will not only attract new customers, boost up your brand, but also help you to clear space in your store, increase sales and welcome a new collection of products. Let's begin with this Step 1: Go to Shopify.com and then click on the login button at the top right Step 2: Enter your Shopify store name and then enter email and password to login to your store's admin area Step 3: Click on Discounts from the left side menu bar Step 4: Click on create discounts Step 5: Click on discount code Step 6: Give an easy to remember discount code name Step 7: Type: Select Buy X Get Y discount option Step 8: Enter what percentage of discount you want to give to your customer Step:9 Customer Buys a. Choose Minimum quantity of items or Minimum purchase amount. b. Set the number of items that the customer must buy or the amount of money that the customer must spend to be eligible for the discount. c. In the Any items from section, choose whether you want to include products or collections as the qualifying items. d. Use the search field or the Browse button to add products or collections to the promotion. If you want to remove a product or collection from the discount, then click X to delete it from the list. Step 10: Customer Gets a. Set the quantity of items that the customer must add to their cart to get the discount. b. In the Any items from section, choose whether you want to include products or collections as the discounted items. If the product or collection is the same as the one set in the Customer buys section, then the lower-priced item that the customer chooses is the item that the customer gets at a discount. c. Use the search field or the Browse button to add products or collections. If you want to remove a product or collection, then click X to delete it from the list. Step:11 At a discounted Value Choose the discounted value that customers receive when they buy the set number of items. If you want to offer a percentage discount, then select Percentage and enter a rate. If you want to offer items for free, then select Free. Step 12: Customer eligibility section A. Everyone - Select this option if you want to offer this code to everyone B. Specific group of customers - If you want to offer this code to a specific group of customers such as Abandoned checkouts(users abandoned the products in the cart), Email subscribers(who have subscribed to your email list), New(only to customer who are new to website) and Returning(users must have bought something from your store) C. Specific customers - Select this option if you want to offer the code to a specific customer Step 13: Usage limit A. Limit the number of times this discount can be used in total - Define how many times you want to offer this discount to work for a customer. B. Limit one use per customer - Select this option if you want this discount code to work only once Step 14: Active dates A. Select the start date for the code to be applicable B.
