Powering the Blacktop 2 is the proven Ananda M80 electric mid-drive motor. Positioning the motor in the bottom bracket area is optimal for giving the rider better usage of gears and improved handling when navigating traffic or cornering at pace. The powerful 80 Newton Metre torque of the electric motor coupled with the Shimano 9-speed Acera gears will give you all the range you need for fast city riding or weekend touring. The elegant frame-integrated battery pack is a fast-charging, lightweight LG unit that will help you cruise through an impressive 100 kilometres of pedal-assisted riding on a single charge. Just choose your power level on the handlebar mounted display unit and go. A fast bike needs good stopping power, and the Blacktop 2 is fitted with upgraded Nutt hydraulic disc brakes. Hydraulics deliver more power with less lever force than other systems, which gives better modulation and control in all riding conditions. The Blacktop 2 is available in unisex or a step-through WSD frame design. WSD or Women Specific Design is an approach to building bikes that considers female proportions to produce a bike more suited to a female rider.
