WE BOUGHT OUR DREAM LAND IN THE PHILIPPINES | ISLAND LIFE

#lifeinthephilippines #foreignerinthephilippines #foreignerandfilipina Besides Davao, Darlene and I decided to look for land in Surigao. We did our research on the internet and decided that it was also a good place to live. Boris and I are very excited to go to a part of the Philippines we haven't been to yet. And maybe we will find what we are looking for - our dream place. We plan to stay here for a few days to see a few pieces of land and visit the famous Enchanted River. We have been dreaming of visiting this place for a very long time now What we like about this first plot of land is that the terrain is flat and there are different trees. It is also not too far from a small road. But we decided to take our time deciding and look at other options. The realtors told us that they would show us some more plots tomorrow. Before we went to the hotel, they showed us a small spring creek not far from the lot. We didn't like this second lot, so Rhea took us to another plot of land. The next day, before heading to Davao, we checked out another piece of land. It has lots of coconut palms and other trees. It is located about 200 meters from the cemented road and is close to the center of the barangay where schools, market and other facilities are located. My husband and I saw this land and fell in love with it. Even though it is not yet cleared, we saw its beauty. So we asked Rhea to prepare all the documents. A few days later, we went back to Surigao to check the documents and pay for the land. It is an amazing feeling. We are very happy that finally, 2 years after moving to the Philippines, our dreams are slowly coming true. The next day, we were told that there is a plot for sale next to the road along with a house. The owners are an elderly couple, the man is paralyzed, so they are hoping to sell the plot soon and move elsewhere. It's not far from the farm we bought, so we decided to take a look. My husband liked the plot and we decided to buy it. Someday it will come in handy for business, but for now we will already have some sort of roof over our heads and the money will help the owners move to a new place. The next day we decided to go back to Davao and said goodbye to our new friends. They were very kind to us, especially Rhea and her family. Before heading out, we drove up to the house to say goodbye to Jenny and Pedro that's the name of the past owners of the house. We told them they could stay here for a month if they weren't ready to move out yet. Jenny and Pedro reminded my husband of his grandparents Zoya and Vladimir. His grandfather was also paralyzed for several years and his grandmother took care of him until his last day. When he died, the same year she was gone too. We all had tears in our eyes. We thanked Jenny and Pedro and wished them good luck in their new place.
