Speciality of Sri Parvathi Jadala Ramalingeshwara Swamy Temple,Mudu gundal Cheruvugattu,Parusharama 108th erected shivalayam. Chervugattu Jadala Ramalingeswaraswamy Temple is one of the oldest temples in the Nalgonda district. It is believed that Parasurama erected this Shivalinga. Legend has it that after the Kshatriya massacre, Parasurama erected 108 Shivalingas for the purification of his sins, and the last of the 108 Shivalingas he erected was that of Jadala Ramalingeswara Swami. The temple is located in a village called Ellareddy Goodem, about 6 km from the center of the Narkat Mandal in Nalgonda district. There is a pond on the east side of the village and the Mallikharjuna Swamy Temple with Parvati on the bank of the pond. Sri Jadala Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple on the hill to the west of the temple attracts a large number of devotees. The shrine is located at a distance of 15 km from Nalgonda and 1 km from the Addanki Narkat Palli main road. Myth: Formerly the ancestor of the Haihaya dynasty, Emperor Karta Veerjarjuna set out for Dandakaranya for hunting with his entourage. The emperor went to the nearby Jamadagni Ashram with his entourage. Then Jamadagni Maharshi with the help of his Kamadhenu arranged a shady dinner for the royal entourage numbering in the thousands in moments. When Kartaviryarju found out about the greatness of the kamadhenu from the sage, he asked if he wanted the kamadhenu.When the sage refuses to do so, an angry Kartaviryarjuna kills Jamadagni and takes away the Kamadhenu. At that time Parasurama goes out and kills Karta Veeryarju with Parasurama again, circling the earth twenty-one times and slaying Kshatriya. After the Kshatriya vows, he erected 108 Shivalingas all over the country to atone for his sins, and for thousands of years practiced penance for each lingam, pouring the fruits into the field and advocating for human welfare. The 108th Shivalingam, the last of the Shivalingams so erected, is the Jadala Ramalingeswara of this Cheruvugattu Kshetra. At this place, Parasurama was chanting to Lord Shiva. Despite his long penance, Lord Shiva was not present. An angry Parasurama struck the upper part of the Shiva lingam with his axe. Then Lord Shiva appeared and said that the place where you have done penance for so long, will shine like the famous Shaiva Trikran, will stay by itself till Kaliyugantam and bless the devotees. Later, Parasurama also got the linga form here and got Shivasayujya. Parashuram's Atmalingam is located in a different cave near the Jadala Ramalingeswara Temple. In the upper part of Ramalingeswara there are jadala-like structures where Parasurama was struck with a machete. That is why Swami is called Jadalaramalingeswara Swami. The 12th century Kakatiya Ganapati Deva Emperor built a cave for the cave-dwelling Jadala Ramalingeswara on the hill. The temple celebrates the first Ekadashi, Karthika Mondays, full moon and Mahashivaratri.
