Segmented Sycamore, Ebony and Veneer Vase

This small segmented vase consists of 144 Sycamore segments, with 152 pieces of black stained poplar veneer in between. I glued a piece of ebony on the top and bottom to cap off the segmented rings. I used Chestnut Products' Cellulose Sanding Sealer, Friction Polish and Burnishing Cream to get a durable gloss finish. This project is made with offcuts from a huge segmented vase I've been working on over the past couple of months (progress photos on Instagram). I really enjoyed making this smaller project after working on much larger items! _____________________________________________________________________________________ I first saw this technique done by Kyle Toth last year so I got some veneer to try it myself but I didn't get round to doing it.
