Rubbing Alcohol (I use 91%) 1/4 tsp. Polysorbate 80 Your choice of Colorant* - Mica, Liquid Colorant, or Powdered Lake *MICA - 1 to 2 tsp. Measure baking soda into a large bowl. Add mica and mix well. Set aside. In a small container measure melted coconut oil, rubbing alcohol, and Polysorbate 80. Stir to combine. Add liquid ingredients to baking soda. Mix well. Add citric acid and mix until thoroughly combined. Mixture should hold its shape when pressed together. If not, add 1-2 sprays of rubbing alcohol as needed until mixture begins to hold its shape when pressed together. DO NOT ADD TOO MUCH OF THE RUBBING ALCOHOL AT THIS POINT, IT WILL ACTIVATE THE EMBED. Press mixture into mold. *LIQUID COLORANT (FD&C & D&C) - 20-35 drops Measure baking soda into a large bowl. Set aside. Measure 20-35 drops Liquid Colorant into 1/2 tsp. measuring spoon, fill remainder of 1/2 tsp with rubbing alcohol. Pour into small container. Add melted coconut oil, and Polysorbate 80. Stir to combine. Add liquid ingredients to baking soda. Mix well. Add citric acid and mix until thoroughly combined. Mixture should hold its shape when pressed together. If not, add 1-2 sprays of rubbing alcohol as needed until mixture begins to hold its shape when pressed together. DO NOT ADD TOO MUCH OF THE RUBBING ALCOHOL AT THIS POINT, IT WILL ACTIVATE THE EMBED. Press mixture into mold. *POWDERED LAKE - 1/2 tsp. Measure baking soda into a large bowl. Set aside. In a small container measure 1/2 tsp water or rubbing alcohol (check to see what is recommended from the supplier of your specific Lake). Stir until thoroughly combined. Add melted coconut oil, and Polysorbate 80. Stir to combine. Add liquid ingredients to baking soda and mix well. Add citric acid and mix until thoroughly combined. Mixture should hold its shape when pressed together. If not, add 1-2 sprays of rubbing alcohol as needed until mixture begins to hold its shape when pressed together.
