I got this cheap 4HP, 4 stroke, jet pump outboard motor from Amazon. There is hardly any information on these, so I thought I would give it a try. It works OK, however, oil had leaked inside the box during postage. No damage was done, I cleaned it up and it started fine. The engine is a Hangkai model. It wasn't as noisy as I was expecting it to be. I understand that the 4 strokes are quieter. It doesn't run so well at full throttle. This maybe something that I can improve if I can adjust timing. I don't know how to yet. But then that would probably affect ability to start it. So after filling the brand new engine with 95 benzine, about 300ml of 10w40 oil, pumped the primer a few times so that I could see the fuel in the pipe reach the carburettor, it started after 4 pulls with choke on.
