Scariest take-off and most beautiful flight, hang gliding Lanzarote - Mirador del Rio

First time hang gliding at Mirador del Rio. Wind blew straight onto the point (North wind), resulting in Lee turbulence right after take-off, which was unfortunately not apparent on the ground. The most challenging take-off I had so far and by far. Not to be in full control so close to the ground is certainly not a pleasurable experience. Once above the terrain, the air was stable and we could soar on both sides of the cliff, which should normally not be possible (hence the challenging take-off). The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and I feel blessed to have been able to soar here! Since I landed just ahead of a fast approaching gust front, resulting turbulence didn't make it easy to keep the glider straight and the higher speed needed to be able to make ground against the strong wind resulted in pilot induced oscillations (not something I usually do). But I did make the small beach at Orzola and was stoked about the nice flight. Enjoy watching
