VS. Pinball, 1984 Nintendo

Interesting game of video pinball, but with no Tilt feature! Totally lame.. other than that, there are some cool hidden bonuses to discover in this game. Almost no music plays, just sound effects; so if music is your thing you may want to look elsewhere. At any rate, the table is shown in 2 halves-- top and bottom-- and a separate bonus stage can be played if you hit the ball into the brown circle in the bottom half. Bonuses include: TOP-- 1) hit the 8 dots to make the seals bounce balls for points, 2) hit the left bumper to raise its value, 3) hit the 4 targets on the left for 1,000 points, 4) go through the gate on the right to spin the "penguin slots" for points or a block between the flippers (so the ball can't escape), and the brown hole is where you return from the bonus stage. BOTTOM-- 1) go through all the cards for a royal flush, 5,000 points and a block post between the flippers, 2) hit all 8 numbers on the left wall to open a wall to the "plunger shaft", 3) enter the brown hole (yuck) to go to the bonus stage, 4) make all 3 eggs chicks to put up stoppers at the escape lanes. BONUS STAGE-- here you try to bounce the ball to turn all numbers in a column the same color; this makes holes in the floor beneath the woman's feet, and if she falls you should try to catch her and drop her off at an exit for 1,000 points. If the ball falls through the sides you return to the top half of the playfield. A free ball is at 50,000 points, and oddly enough, at 100,000 points the flippers disappear! They return at another 50,000 points, but that's still weird. Intriguing game of video pinball, but it's still stupid that there's no TILT feature (that I know of).
