Villa Borghese is a historic villa home to the beautiful Borghese Gallery, one of the most beautiful art collections in the world. It is also a place to play, run, and enjoy, and it has one of the best views of Rome. The Villa Borghese Gardens are on Pincian Hill, close to the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo. The Gardens cover an area of 80 hectares. They were built in 1606 by Cardinal Scipione Borghese, who wanted to turn his old vineyard into the biggest gardens ever built in Rome. During the same time, the Cardinal gave the architect Flaminio Ponzio the job of building the Villa Borghese Pinciana. This elegant building is now home to the Galleria Borghese. The museum's collection has over twenty rooms, including antiques, sculptures, and paintings. This gallery has several well-known collections, especially from the Renaissance. These include Bernini's statues of Apollo and Daphne and paintings by Caravaggio, Rubens, Leonardo da Vinci, and Sanzio Raphael. With everything to see and do, the Borghese Gardens are a must-see if you've never been to Rome. No matter how old you are or how you like to travel, a day in the Borghese Gardens will be the best and most memorable part of your Rome tour.
