When Upcycling, denim trousers often leave me stumped on what to do with the waistbands which are always tricky to Upcycle! But not anymore. In this upcycling project, I was able to upcycle these waistbands into a cute round bag. This quick DIY Tutorial shows you how to make your own pattern, cut and sew a round bag with a zipper & inner pocket. Outer fabric i.e. denim, heavy cotton etc 2. Lining, ideally cotton lining 3. Fusible interfacing 4. Sponge/ heavy fusible fleece Timecodes: 0:00 - Intro 0:20 - Preparing the waistband pieces 0:38 - stitching & ironing the pieces together 0:45 - drawing & cutting circular pattern on paper 1:08 - tracing out the circular pattern on fabric, lining & sponge (2 pieces of each) 1:16 - cutting out the pocket 1:23 - stitching pocket 1:32 - sewing pocket on one of the circular linings 1:39 - sewing the circular fabric, lining & sponge together 1:48 - formular for cutting the round length of fabric 1:52 - cutting, prepping & stitching zipper 2:19 - cutting & stitching fabric on hooks for the handles 2:41 - sewing the hooks on zipper ends 2:46 - cutting the fabric, lining & sponge for lower part of bag 2:50 - sewing sponge to the fabric 2:25 - sewing the outer fabric, zip & lining together 3:20 - snipping the midpoints of all the pieces created 3:34 - pinning & sewing the circular pieces to the outer fabric 3:51 - binding all the raw edges of the bag 4:05 - prepping & stitching the strap 4:12 - attaching the strap to the bag
