Come with me on a nostalgic journey to Studio Liverpool's 4th PS2 game! The 2004 season was the first one where my young mind realised what was actually happening and for this reason the 2004 season will always be something special for me, no matter how boring it was. Especially because of this, it saddens me that this game could have been one the best F1 games ever. Could. Weird design choices, however, are ruining the experince, e.g.: -Ludicrous handling; the car steers like it "floats" on a central axis -Realiable A.I. difficulty; you either race 20 Michael Schumacher or 20 Zsolt Buamgartner, hardly anything inbetween, all 3 races were on same difficulty -The career mode is great, but contracts are negotiated on random occasion, not at the end of the season; you could get laid off easily by DNFing the car twice in a row (even if it's not your fault, like retiring due to mechanical failures) or finishing too low and the unreliable A.I. difficulty strikes again (ever tried racing them in Siverstone?, RIP) Sadly these and more ruin an otherwise great game.
