Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 10 - Escape from reality… If you think your date has bailed on you whilst they’ve ducked to the bathroom at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Wisconsin, rest assured – they’re still around, they’ve just enamored by the beautiful and unusual bathroom! 9 - Go powder your nose… This would be one of the most unusual bathroom experiences you will ever have! I’d almost be too scared to use the loo here, as I would feel they’re going to somehow conduct an experiment on me and I would come out looking completely different! These alien toilet eggs are located at sketch, a restaurant and bar in London. The pods are located at the top of a staircase, and they play an eerie music soundtrack whilst you’re inside. Perhaps to freak you out, so you just do your business and get along your way quick sticks. 8 - Little Girls Room… On Lake Powell, you will find a floating public restroom. Seems like people were doing their business in the waters, and in order to protect the water – this was the solution. Must be so weird trying to do your business, whilst floating from side to side. To install one of these, can cost as much $100 000! 7 - We can only dream… Although not a real one, but a quick mention. A few years ago, the Royal Institute of British Architects teamed up with BBC Radio 4 and called on architects to rethink the public toilet. This was one of the designs by FAT, who said they “hoped that Hercules will inspire those who enter to conjure up whatever strength they require to complete their transactions within. Inside will be a view of the sky through an oculus in Hercules’ truncated neck.” 6 - Times Up… Over in New York City, they’ve introduced some extremely high-tech public toilets. These bathrooms require you to pay a quarter to use them, and its money well spent. Except for one tiny little problem. In exactly 15 minutes, that door is going to open right up, and expose you to the hundreds of people probably walking past you at that exact moment. Despite that challenge, the toilets are self-cleaning, the loo paper gets cut specifically for you and you won’t leave with that icky feeling you usually get when leaving a public toilet. 5 - Game On… Our previous entry was trying to get people to leave within 15-minutes, but this one is encouraging people to stay and play! A baseball team in Pennsylvania introduced urine controlled video games, and for example – one of the games is a snowboarding game, and you use your urine to control the player. I guess this way, they’ll be selling more beverages during half time! 4 - Toilet Humor… This is a little humorous, and it’s hard to imagine that tucked away under the ground, is a little enchanted bathroom, which can be found in France. 3 - Taking a leak… And let’s hope that the only thing leaking is your bladder, because if there was a leak in this underwater bathroom – there would be serious problems! The Mumin Papa Café is in Japan, and it cost them $270 000 to build this aquarium restroom. Sadly guys, it’s for ladies only – but hopefully that would have changed by now, because it must be a surreal experience doing it surrounded by water! 2 - Flushed Away… These colourful structures are actually public bathrooms, although they look like art structures – don’t they? There are 17 of these located in Hiroshima, and they look like origami cranes, with round ventilation holes and acrylic windows to allow the fresh air and sunshine in. 1...
