Lunatic 1cc without using bombs this time. The game is still pretty hard but a typical 1cc playthrough still gets you at least 20 extra lives so the margin for error is pretty gigantic. Even if you die a few times in a row you can still catch up and get back to max lives again by the end of the stage. Even though Sanae is for the most part better for the game, the final boss is incredibly dumb with her and for a no-bombs run you're pretty much forced to use Reimu. Stage 1 is a bit annoying on no-bombs and with Reimu since you're pretty much forced to perfect it or else you won't have enough power to survive stage 2. Reimu can't kill things very well in this stage and the boss's first spellcard is quite difficult and weird. Stage 2 is tricky with Reimu since her homing can only be used unfocused and is weaker than Sanae's. You have to make sure you very carefully stream and leave enough room until the bullets get cancelled when the chapter ends. The stage 3 strats differ a lot from the Sanae ones and Doremi's nonspells are still super annoying when she goes low on the screen. It's possible to make the first wave of the bouncy laser spell static by starting in the same position every time. Stage 4 is easier than stage 3 so it's pretty easy to catch back up to max lives in this stage if you took a beating in stage 3. I mess up the midboss a bit by not going to the sides fast enough to kill the familiars. Nonspells are all pretty static. For stage 5 there is a safespot for the ringlaser fairies in the top-right corner. However it's not 100% consistent and I died to it this time. Still better than trying to dodge it normally though. For the stage 6 streaming section I've noticed that you have better chances of clearing this if you start in the middle of the screen. This way you only have to turn around once when the stream isn't too crazy yet and it ends before you reach the other side. The speed you can stream at depends on how the lines threat you though. The final boss is bad. It's either dumb pixel perfect positioning or dumb RNG vomit. Attacks where it's already almost pixel perfect and the boss can go low on the screen are 10/10 design. Also I don't know why the final spell is harder than everything else in the game combined and why there is 30 seconds of nothing happening every time at the start of it. Overall I think that Touhou 15 would be a good game if it wasn't dragged down so much by that awful stage 6. It's unfortunate but what can you do. I upped the bitrate a bit since last video. Hopefully it's better now.
