To create this Iraq series, I teamed up with my guides at Bil Weekend ( / bilweekend | https://bilweekend.com/) and my good friend and fellow travel filmmaker Tasos Karantakos ( / agreeksolo . After nearly a week and a half on the ground in Iraq, I finally arrived in my final city of the trip, Erbil, located in the famed Kurdistan region. Join me as I take you to a local bazaar and to have some mouthwatering kebabs for dinner! This was an absolutely incredible Iraqi food and Kurdish food tour in Erbil. Is Kurdistan in Iraq? I learn about all these amazing history and culture in this video. Truly it was Kurd food experience! LIVESTOCK MARKET: Our first stop was a livestock market selling everything from ostriches to goats to rabbits. They also had chickens, including hens and roosters. They also sold feed for the birds. We also found a vendor selling two types of knafeh, including one that was nutty and milky! CITADEL BAZAAR: The bazaar below the citadel was alive with activity. The citadel itself was closed, but the food vendors were everywhere. We loved the roasted corn on the cob, which the vendors doused with lemon juice! We also tried a fava bean dish called bagilla. KEBABS: We also enjoyed a fantastic Kurdish kebab feast that included chicken wings, chicken tikka, lamb, kidney, lamb testicles, and liver. Everything was great, but the soft, tender lamb kebabs were my favorites. We also had some lamb testicle kebabs and some yogurt mixed with ice! CITADEL BAZAAR (continued): After eating, we explored more of the bazaar and found vendors selling fresh pomegranate seeds and bagilli with sumac. Inside, we tried baklava, dried fruit, and some incredible honey with honeycomb. The vendor gave us the honey free of charge! I also bought some mirrors and two colorful rugs. Where have you been?
