Our Painted Foam Letters product described by Sean from Woodland Manufacturing. Styrofoam letters are known for their functionality rather than their beauty, but we faced these letters with thin wood for a more polished look. We decided to take a fast and disposable product and improve it by offering the most fonts and sizes, custom cutting with the precise tooling of our router, and then professionally finish it with an acrylic paint. We chose 3lb polystyrene because it is more dense than common 1 or 2lb color foam letters so we can ship a higher quality product. Due to the air pockets in the material, pockmarks and impurities will be visible after the letters are cut. The foam is water and mildew resistant, but the letters are indoor rated, especially because of the MDF face. We recommend using double-sided mounting tape to secure the painted lightweight letters to the surface. A paper mounting template helps with spacing and alignment. With the Flat Bottom Standing upgrade each letter will have a flat bottom in order to allow them to stand. This may reduce your letter height slightly depending on the font selected. Some letters, such as J, P and F, may need additional support to stand. This can be done by applying double sided mounting tape to the bottom of the letter, attaching it to a base, leaning it on an adjacent letter or up against a wall. Get your letters today!
