Samavesh '24 kicked off with the Information Management conclave, featuring an insightful discussion on AI-powered business models among esteemed panellists Aniket Palkar, KPIT, Hemant Sindhi, IBM, Gaurav Sharma, HCLTech and Ankur Banerjee, Tiger Analytics, with moderators Prof. Shailaja Jha and Prof. Milind Kamat. Opening the conversation with a use case of Wise Innovation and Design Thinking, Pratham Sharma, PGPM Class of '25 explored the implementation of emerging technologies like AI/ML, IoT, and Open APIs for human-centric solutions. The panel threw light on the transformative power of AI in moulding long-term business strategies, that could serve not only to simplify consumption but also design products that are the right fit for the consumer. Our industry experts also highlighted the need for privacy by design, and discussed the need for consent management when extrapolating from various data sources. The panel closed with inputs to aspiring students on the skills and competencies to develop for a career in AI, such as a multi-disciplinary approach to business analytics, and a strong sense of ethical leadership.
