UMNews and Lovett Weems both published pieces against Good News and the Wesleyan Covenant Association, stating that neither group has a rightful place in helping the denomination to discern how it will treat churches that wish to disaffiliate anymore. Tom Lambrecht of Good News published a piece answering their concerns. As always, the picture painted by institutional voices does not really correspond to the realities on the ground. While many would have you believe that disaffiliations are over and there is no more need to advocate for entrapped churches, those voices are not being honest.
