The musical basis of „Du verwechselst mich“ is a live recorded jam that took place in January 2020 in Berlin between Michael Drummer from Camera and Roman Biewer from Disso!ver. It was already late in the evening and they had „gone through everything“ in terms of rhythms, sounds, etc., when Roman simply threaded a screwdriver through the guitar strings in a kind of weaving technique and in this way played a completely amelodic riff that animated Michael directly into a beat. These basic tracks then rested for a few months until Roman - back in Cologne and confronted with the first Corona lockdown - lifted this treasure and started whistling to it, developing a synth figure and singing on it. The mix and arrangement were also done by Roman, the multitrack mastering was done by Stefan Flad, who works as a live mixer and mastering engineer for Die Türen and Die Sterne, among others. The song‘s single line of lyrics (besides some semi-comprehensible babble from offstage) - „Du verwechselst mich - Mit dem lyrischen Ich“ (You're confusing me - with the lyrical me) - opens up a lively associative space that can be filled in a variety of ways: Is an author trying to get out of the affair here, or should rather the addressee never forget to ask who is speaking here, and who is up to what? The accompanying album „Lagerkoller“ is available exclusively via the Barhill Records store, the Disso!ver Bandcamp page, at Rex Rotari (Saarbrücken), in some Cologne record stores and at Flight13 Mailorder on black vinyl (180g) on 13.08.2021.
