The company, formerly Deep South Resources, is focused on the Haib Copper project in Namibia, which boasts a significant deposit with over 1 billion tonnes of ore at 0.31% copper. It aims to increase this grade through ongoing drilling. Additionally, Koryx holds options on three licenses in Zambia's copper belt, though these are at a more exploratory, greenfield stage compared to Namibia. Léveillé explained the recent amendment to the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Haib project, clarifying that technical and economic aspects remain unchanged. The amendment was to comply with the National Instrument 43-101 reporting standard. Koryx Copper is advancing its Haib project with renewed drilling, revealing new structures with higher copper grades than initially estimated. In Zambia, the company completed a geophysical survey at Luanshya West and is moving towards drilling, contingent on securing financing. Addressing the broader copper market, Léveillé highlighted copper's critical role in various sectors, predicting a strong market due to increasing demand and depleting resources. He anticipates a supply shortage, potentially escalating copper prices.
