This horse is a great example of how the word 'stubborn' should not be in your vocabulary when training any animal, and instead try to uncover the underlying cause for the animal's behavior. As in this case, with a horse with arthritis pain for who it's actually difficult and painful to stand on 3 legs. This approach is what we recommend you should be able to do with your horse BEFORE even putting on a halter and lead rope.
