🚗 To-do List #2: Central Locking System & Vacuum Pump [1991 Mercedes 300TE 24V] 🚗 Welcome back to the channel! In this second episode of my “To-do List” series, I’m tackling an issue that’s been causing a bit of a hassle—my 1991 Mercedes 300TE 24V’s central locking system. If you've ever struggled with a malfunctioning central lock, you’ll know how frustrating it can be. 🔧 In this video: Diagnosing the Problem: I start by identifying why the central locking system is acting up, including checking and replacing a blown fuse. Accessing the Vacuum Pump: Watch as I carefully remove parts of the rear seat and carpet to reach the vacuum pump. Inspecting & Testing: I show you how to examine the pump and other components to determine if they need replacing. Handling the Results: After making repairs, I test the system to see if it’s functioning properly and discuss the next steps if issues persist. Even though the central locking system is working better, there’s still an ongoing challenge with the pump running longer than expected when locking the car.
