Sage Valley Golf Club. Just up the road from Augusta is a private enclave that offers its members and guests world class hospitality on a grand scale. It’s awfully hard to find someone that will tell you “no” there. The golf is played on one of the deepest shades of green you’ll ever see and it makes for very photogenic memories. It’s not the National, but perhaps a distant cousin twice removed. The course is a treat to play and filled with challenges. Fazio, but with a deft touch. The walk is quite enjoyable and the scenery is most impressive. The caddies are characters with quick wit and sharp eyes for breaking putts. Come for the golf and stay for the Cap steak.
