Here my thoughts: PROS Well made durable pieces Good Value for price Weighted Pieces Pieces have good Balance and Stability and Nice size Good contrast of colors easy to see - the board vs pieces Portable take it anywhere Can add a wooden board later. 50cm Squares will work well. Comfortable pieces to play with Fits on a desk or coffee table Notations on edges of Board good for Study and Analysis CONS No Extra Queens - (can't buy extra queens separately in this size) Wish we could get these included. Would rather a plain box without people images. Already some minor tears on box edge - So Box and Board may not last a lifetime being cardboard Subjective opinion - Knights are not the best looking but are comfortable to play with Pieces slide better on a wooden board.
