Want to learn more about memberships with Art on the Creek? / @artonthecreek In this review of the Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer Watercolor Markers, I'll show you what I like...and dislike about them. The dislike is really more of a need to adapt, and that works in the end. Here's the link to the Winsor & Newton Promarker Watercolor Marker Review: • REVIEW: Winsor & Newton Promarker Wat... The Faber-Castell Watercolor Markers are lightfast, come from a reputable brand, have a good color selection...What's not to like? Let's find out! Faber-Castell lists their markers as lightfast according to a very (in my opinion) subjective scale...but I'm wiling to accept that this might just be marketing lingo. "Albrecht Dürer Watercolor Markers contain odorless, highly pigmented, waterbased ink that is watersoluble and bleedproof on most high-quality watercolor papers. The colors remain consistent, wet or dry." quoted from Dick Blick https://www.dickblick.com/products/fa... The Faber-Castell Watercolor Markers come in sets of 5, each curated for a specific need. They also have sets of 10, 20 and 30, and are sold individually. The Winsor & Newton Promarker Watercolor Markers are sold in curated sets of 6, two curated sets of 12, and also individually. Here is what Winsor & Newton has to say about the Promarker Watercolor Marker pigment and lightfast information: "The water-based pigmented ink in these markers allows you the flexibility to come back to your work at any time, as you can reactivate the ink with water, even when dry. And thanks to the high quality pigments, your work will not fade" https://www.winsornewton.com/na/graph... The pigments are listed on each individual marker. In the Basic Set of 6, here's what we are looking at (all are transparent pigments with excellent lightfastness): Alizarin Crimson Hue PV19, PR179 Cadmium Yellow Hue PY74, PY83 Ivory Black PBk7, PY83. PBk9 Prussian Blue Hue PB15:3, PV23, PBk7 Sap Green PY83, PG7 Yellow Ochre PY42, PY83, PR179 The links below (with the exception of the color charts and Trekkel brushes) are affiliate links on Amazon US. Of note, Winsor & Newton recommends their 100% cotton watercolor paper. At the time of filming, I did not have any Winsor & Newton watercolor paper to test.
