A great place to camp around. Chankah Valley is situated at the Banks of Chenab River. The village is situated on the other side of the Salal Dam. This Majestic place is one of the best place with the amazing scenic view in Reasi District. Bhimgarh Fort – Bhimgarh Fort, generally known as the Reasi Fort, is near Reasi, a town approx. 64 km northwest of Jammu. One of the heirs of Maharaj Rishipal Rana, the founder of Reasi, constructed it. It was used by the royal family members for shelter during emergencies. The renovation of the fort was started by Gulab Singh of Jammu and Kashmir in 1817 and continued till 1841. After the death of Maharaja Gulab Singh, his heir Maharaja Ranbir Singh and Maharaja Pratap Singh used Bhimgarh Fort as a treasury and armoury. Bhimgar Fort was handed over to the Jammu and Kashmir State Archaeology Department in 1989 on the orders of the state government. In 1990, the fort was renovated by the Vaishno Devi Sthapna Board. The surrounding areas were given a facelift with the construction of gardens and pathways. The fort was then opened to the public. Jangle Gali – Jungle Gali is an unexplored heaven which is approximately 60km from Jammu city. Jungle gali has pleasant weather most of the time. Jangal Gali Forest is a forest in udhampur district of Jammu & Kashmir and has an elevation of 1653 metres. It is also been told by the local people that there were coal mines in Jangle Gali before Independence which was stopped later on.
